Tiny West London studio flat for rent with ‘no toilet’ and shower next to the microwave

An affordable flat in London is hard to come by, especially in the boroughs of Kensington and Chelsea.

Kensington, in West London, is one of the five most expensive boroughs to live in the Capital, beaten only by Westminster and closely followed by Chelsea and Camden.

It’s the kind of place where you might expect to be charged £4.50 for a cappuccino, or walk past three members of the Made In Chelsea cast in one day.

And what’s more, properties have surged by 40 per cent in the UK this year as the housing market gets back on its feet after Covid.

So it’s no surprise that a cheap property which pops up in the area will be heavily sought after.

Some might say the shower is a little too close to the cooker

But you might want to read the small print on this bargain flat, which comes in at a tantalising £480 per month.

Look closely, and you’ll find some extremely key utilities missing from the property – namely, a toilet.

The Kensington studio flat doesn’t list a single toilet and features a shower wedged between the cooker and front door, The Sun reports.

The bed is just four foot long

And those aren’t the only problems with the property – even the bed is just four foot long.

The ‘cooker’ is also pictured as just a microwave with two hobs on top, which seems as though it could cause some problems.

It also sits right next to the sink, leaving no counter space to chop and prepare food, nor space for a kettle or toaster.
