If you were dreaming of a white Christmas, you’ve probably been disappointed by the washout that has been the last week.
After a run of rainy days, Londoners will be wondering when they can hope to see a spot of sunshine again.
The few weeks ahead are promising a mixed bag weather-wise, but luckily we won’t have to wait too long for the first sunny day.

According to AccuWeather, London could see sun as early as this weekend.
Although Friday (December 31) is set to be mostly cloudy according to the long-term weather forecaster, the day is likely to be dry, and a moderate 15C at its highest point.
And on New Year’s Day (Saturday, January 1) we can hope to see some sun ‘through high clouds’, and another mild day with highs of 14C.

BBC Weather is also anticipating periods of sun over the weekend, although both website suggest we will be back to rain showers on Sunday.
The fickle weather over the weekend seems to set the trend for the first week of 2022, when we can expect a mixed bag of cloudy, rainy and sunny days.
