Officers were called to the scene in London just before 3.30pm today, on Tuesday, the Met Police has confirmed. The man was found on Brockley Road in Brockley with knife injuries.

He was rushed to hospital for treatment.

The road was cordoned off by the Met Police.

The closure extends from Braxfield Road to Adelaide Avenue.

The man was taken to a South London hospital by London Ambulance Service.

Motoring organisation the AA, quoted in MyLondon, provided an update at around 6pm on the disruption caused to traffic by the road closure.

The AA said: “Road closed and queuing traffic due to police incident on B218 Brockley Road both ways from Braxfield Road to B236 Adelaide Avenue.”

In a statement, Met Police said: “Police were called at 3.29pm on Tuesday, December 28, to reports of an injured male at Brockley Road, SE4.

“Police and London Ambulance Service [LAS] attended.

“At the scene a male, aged 20s, was found with knife injuries.”

It added: “At this early stage there have been no arrests.”

Enquires into the attack continue, the force confirmed, and, just past 7pm, a crime scene remained in place.
