Stamford Hill: Man rushed to hospital after stabbing near overground station

A man was rushed to hospital after he was stabbed near Stamford Hill Overground Station in the early hours of the morning.

Emergency services rushed to the scene on Amhurst Park, Stoke Newington, North London at 2.54am today (December 22).

A107 Amhurst Park and Stamford Hill Overground Station have since been cleared and reopened to the public.

The stretch of road in question runs from Durley Road to West Bank.

A spokesperson from the London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 2:54am this morning (22 December) to Amhurst Park, N16, to reports of a stabbing.

“We sent an incident response officer, a medic in a response car and an ambulance crew to the scene. We also dispatched an advanced trauma team car from London’s Air Ambulance.

“We treated a man at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre.”
