A London mum is desperately searching for her family’s two puppies after they were stolen from her living room in a ‘terrifying’ burglary.
Mum-of-three Amy O’Shaughnessy, 34, from Mitcham, South London, had only bought the new puppies a week prior, as her children were desperate to get a dog.
They had named the dogs, who are siblings, Brandy and Bailey. They were due to get chipped that week.

She said: “I was just at home with the puppies, sitting on the sofa and watching TV. One of my children was asleep, the other two were up in their bedroom.”
Amy has a Ring Doorbell, which alerted her to motion outside her door.
She continued: “That’s when I heard the first bang on my front door. So I’ve got up, I’ve still got my phone in my hand.
“As I’ve got up, he was in my house.”
The man appeared to have used a tool that he wedged between the frame and the lock, and then kicked the front door open.
Another man was waiting outside.
Strangely, the man was shouting, ‘Where are my dogs’, while Amy tried to phone the police.
Instinctively she threw a blanket over the puppies to cover them.
She said: “He knocked my phone out of my hand and pushed me onto the sofa where the puppies were.
“So I landed on them. Which caused them to move. He threw the blanket off them, grabbed them by the necks and was gone.”
She added: “This is how quick it happened.
“From the first bang to him coming and taking the dogs – I’ve got two flights of stairs in my house – my daughter hadn’t even made it to the bottom of the second stairs before he had gone.”
Amy feels that the attack was targeted, as she had barely been out since getting the dogs.
Since the incident, the family have launched an appeal to try and locate them.
“It’s like living in a dream,” said Amy.
“The police have been really good, I have to say,” she added. “And I’ve got it [the photo of the two dogs] on every platform and it’s been shared over five million times. It’s reached Ireland, Scotland, Wales, everywhere.”
A spokesperson from the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 12.08am on Sunday, December 5 to reports of a burglary in Mitcham.
“Two men smashed their way into the house, pushed the female victim down and stole two puppies before fleeing the scene.
