Petra Srncova: Body found in South London park in search for missing woman, 32

A woman’s body has been found in the search for missing senior nurse assistant in South London.

Petra Srncova, from Camberwell, first went missing two weeks after last being seen at her workplace – Evelina London Children’s Hospital, SE1 – on November 28.

Police were today (December 12) called to Brunswick Park, SE5, following reports of the body of a woman being found in the bushes.

Although the body has not been formally identified, police say that Petra’s family have been informed of the development.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Police have been appealing for information to trace missing senior nurse assistant Petra Srncova from Camberwell.

Police and forensics have been at the scene all afternoon and remain there this evening

“At approximately 11.40am on Sunday, December 12, police were called by a member of the public to reports of the body of a woman that had been found in Brunswick Park, SE5.

“Officers remain on scene at the location. At this early stage, the woman’s death is being treated as unexplained.

“While formal identification awaits, Petra’s family have been informed of this development.”

Police issued a fresh appeal for information over her disappearance yesterday, after she hadn’t been seen for almost two weeks.

The 32-year-old, who is a senior nurse at Evelina London Children’s Hospital, which is next to St Thomas’s Hospital in SE1, was reported missing on Friday, December 3, by a concerned colleague.
