Brunswick Park live: Updates as ‘body found by children’ in South London park as police and forensics set up huge cordon

9

Brunswick Park in South East London (SE5) has been closed entirely to the public after a body was reportedly discovered in the area.

A huge police cordon is in place at the scene, where forensic investigators have set up a blue tent in the park where they are working on scene.

An eyewitness told MyLondon that a group of children ‘found a body’ when they were playing in the park this morning.

One resident told MyLondon that he has seen “marked and unmarked police cars parked outside a house” in nearby Elmington Street for the last three days.

MyLondon has contacted the Metropolitan Police for more information.

We will bring you more information as we have it.
