Paddy Kenny claims Juventus will try to sign Tanguy Ndombele on loan from Tottenham in January.
The former Leeds United stopper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insists the midfielder needs to leave the club.
A Tottenham source told Football Insider (8 December) on Wednesday the club are aware of interest in Ndombele, 24, from Juventus.
This site revealed on 25 November that Antonio Conte has gone even further behind the scenes and made it clear the club should listen to offers for the midfielder in January.
The manager does not believe the France international is capable of changing his ways and wants to bring in players who can follow his specific instructions.
Kenny insists Ndombele’s departure is best for all parties after a disappointing spell in North London.
“He’s got to go,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“It’s not worked under three managers now. If Conte and Mourinho can’t fix him, who can?
“They have to cut their losses. He came in for big money and it hasn’t worked, he’s been terrible.
“A move to Juve is ideal, isn’t it? It’s an easier league, you can take it a bit easier compared to the Premier League.
“I think that will suit him. Tottenham will have to take a loss but I think they are prepared for that.
“It wouldn’t shock me if he left on loan first. Especially when you consider his attitude.
“That might be the right thing to do.”
Ndombele tried to leave Tottenham in each of the last three summers, including, remarkably, six weeks after he joined the club in 2019.
This season he has made 12 total appearances.
