London weather live: The parts of London hit by snow this morning and those that have missed out completely

Londoner’s have woken up to a white Christmas of sorts today (December 2) with dustings of snow being reported across the capital.

People in West, Central and South London have taken to social media to share videos of the powder which came down earlier in the morning.

So far people as far South as Wandsworth and as far West as Heathrow airport have reported snow.

The sudden cold spot is indicative of multiple weather reports that have predicted things are set to turn chilly in the city throughout the Christmas period.

According to the Met Office, snow is predicted to fall in parts of the UK throughout this week.

Temperatures in London are set to range from 7C to -9C, with rain forecast on Friday (December 3) and Tuesday (December 9).

Today, the Met Office predicts: “Rain, sleet and some snow clearing from southwestern parts. Wintry showers affecting the north and east, slowly becoming confined to Norfolk this afternoon, with gales along North Sea coasts slowly easing. Mostly dry and sunny inland but feeling cold.”
