Orpington fire live: Updates as 70 firefighters rush to blaze at High Street pub

A fire has broken out at a pub in South London with 70 firefighters at the scene.

According to London Fire Brigade (LFB), 10 fire engines are also at the scene on High Street, Orpington since 7.30am this morning (Tuesday, November 30).

There are reports on Facebook that the blaze broke out at the White Hart pub on High Street.

In a post on Twitter the LFB wrote: “10 fire engines and around 70 firefighters have been called to a fire on #Orpington High Street.

“More information to follow.”

In photos and video taken of the scene a larger yellow lift ladder can be seen with firefighters using hoses on a property.

One local resident confirmed that emergency vehicles were rushing to the scene this morning.

“LOTS of Police sirens going off in Orpington this morning – they’ve been constant for the past 30 mins,” they tweeted.
