ITV I’m A Celebrity: Viewers demand the show is cancelled as the series has been ‘ruined’

Viewers are calling for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here to be cancelled after branding the series as ‘ruined’.

This comes after the ITV show, which is being shot in North Wales for the second time, was cancelled for the past three days due to Storm Arwen causing major damage to the set. This resulted in the campmates being evacuated from the Gwrych Castle and being put back into quarantine.

Taking to Twitter, many fans said the campmates going back into quarantine defeats the purpose of the show because they would have ‘slept in warm comfy bed, had nice showers and decent food’.

One fan wrote: “Not much point in #imaceleb coming back on this year. Campmates have been evacuated & are back in isolation which means food, showers and calls home. Defeats the object.”

A second said: “#ImACeleb is finished for this year. The celebs would have been in a warm comfy bed, with a nice shower and decent food for 3 straight nights. Completely pointless to carry on now.”

Another wrote: “#ImACeleb unfortunately, @simmons2Sue it’s coming back – complete joke. All filled up on food, had baths/showers, nice & clean, they’ll be stuffing their faces tonight. I certainly won’t be watching.”

Richard Madeley, 65, also had to leave the show due to falling ill and breaking the ‘Covid bubble’ by going to a nearby hospital.

There have been reports that Rudimental’s DJ Locksmith is on standby to replace the presenter.

The show announced yesterday that they would be returning to screens tonight on ITV. Releasing a statement, they said: “I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! will return from tomorrow night (Tuesday 30th November) with a brand new show.”
