ITV’s Money Show: Martin Lewis’ famous wife who appeared in a major Hollywood film

Those of us who don’t have money watch him to learn how to make money, those of us who do have money watch him to learn what to do with it. Of course we are talking about everyone’s favourite finance expert and journalist, Martin Lewis.

Martin, 49, has been highly in demand throughout his career, having hopped between BBC, ITV and Channel 5 to deliver his money saving expertise.

His portfolio includes presenting for BBC One Breakfast News, Five’s It Pays to Watch! and several ITV programmes such as Tonight and Good Morning Britain.

Martin Lewis is always full of insightful financial advice

Since 2012, Martin has been co-hosting his own show on ITV called The Martin Lewis Money Show. He is also the founder and editor-in-chief of MoneySavingExpert.com.

But what’s often overlooked is that his wife Lara Lewington is also a successful TV presenter and journalist.

Having started her career in 2003 as a weather lady on Five, she later went on to present the BBC show Click, a popular weekly technology news show, in 2011.

Lara has also made appearances on BBC’s Let’s Dance For Sports Relief, BBC Two’s Newsnight, ITV’s The Impressionable Jon Culshaw and ITV’s Britain’s Best Dish.

In 2006, Lara was captured presenting a weather report on a background monitor in the Daily Planet newsroom in the Superman Returns movie.

She also appears in the 2010 British comedy film Shouting Men.

Lara and Martin have been married since 2009. Sapphire, their only child, was born in 2012.

During the lockdown, the couple converted their London home into a two-channel studio.

Lara used the upper floor of their home to present BBC’s Click, while Martin used downstairs to present his ITV programme.

Lara would even give up part of her Thursday evenings to help with the production work for her husband’s show.

The Martin Lewis Money Show airs every Thursday on ITV at 8pm.
