The Strictly curse is well known among fans of the BBC One show, but a perhaps lesser-known is the success stories – of which It Takes Two host Janette Manrara has three.
Her and husband Aljaz Skorjanec are the sweethearts of the BBC One show and have managed to consistently avoid the dreaded Strictly ‘curse’ thanks to their overwhelming love for one another.
They first met at London studios Dance Attic in 2010, and went on to star alongside each other on the hit show Burn the Floor in the US.

The couple tried to make their long-distance relationship work, with Aljaz in his native Slovenia, and Janette in Los Angeles, but they were reunited in London when they landed a coveted spot as pro dancers on Strictly in 2013.

But before they began dating, Janette dated former Strictly professional dancers Artem Chigvintsev, 39, and Pasha Kovalev, 41, but the brief romances quickly fizzled out.
A Strictly insider told the Mirror: “She enjoyed a brief romance with Pasha. None of the relationships went very far or lasted for a long time.
“Now they are all good friends and can laugh and joke about it, which is fortunate because they will be working very close together.
“Janette is obviously a very attractive woman but she’s very into Aljaz now. They have been together for two years and do everything together.”
Since then, Janette and Aljaz’ relationship has gone from strength to strength.

In 2015, Aljaz surprised the Cuban-American dancer by taking her to the dance studios where they first met, and getting down on bended knee.
Two years later, they tied the knot and as celebrated their union with family, friends, and their Strictly co-stars!
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One on Saturday November 20 at 8pm.
