Huge search operation as London nurse, 37, goes missing on scuba dive in Red Sea

A London nurse has gone missing while on holiday in Egypt with a friend.

Louise Houslip disappeared underwater on Friday (November 19) after she went for a scuba dive in the Red Sea, reported The Star.

The 37-year-old, originally from Guernsey, was taking a break after training nurses for the NHS Nightingale Hospital in East London.

A huge search operation is underway to help find missing nurse, Louise

A freak current is feared to have dragged Louise, an experienced swimmer, underwater.

The Egyptian Military has launched a huge search operation to help find Louise, but has so far been unsuccessful.

However, a source told The Sun that some missing people have re-emerged after surviving for days in the Red Sea.

A source said: “She was out with a qualified guide and suddenly she just vanished.

“The waters are mild out there and divers have been known to survive for days.”
