Prisoner on the run after climbing through South London hospital window to escape police

The public are being urged not to approach a prisoner who escaped from a South London hospital while in custody.

Andrew Waters, 45, was last seen at St George’s Hospital in Tooting on Thursday morning (November 19).

He was at the hospital having been arrested on recall to prison, but escaped by climbing through a window at the hospital.

The Metropolitan Police are appealing for help in tracing Waters, who is from Wandsworth, but have told people not to approach him.

The Met said enquiries into his whereabouts are ongoing.

Anyone with information as to his whereabouts is asked to call 101 quoting reference number 4010/18nov.
