Huge fight with terrifying weapons outside Wendy’s in Croydon town centre caught on camera

14

An American fast-food chain’s South London opening was tainted by a fight at its doors yesterday afternoon (November 19) as men hit each other with terrifying weapons.

A video shows a woman screaming outside Wendy’s new restaurant in Wellesley Road, Croydon before a man attacks her with what appears to be a long stick in the row at around 2pm.

She shouts “stop, don’t f*cking touch my friend”, after which the man launches himself at her with a series of blows, including one to the head.

Shortly after another man jumps out the burger joint with another stick and begins trading blows with the first man, as if sword fighting.

As the battle erupts the crowd jumps back and the cameraman is heard saying “we got a proper fight now”.

After some lunges and parries neither man lands a critical hit, eventually leading to a short grapple between the two ‘swordsmen’.

More men appear out of nowhere to try to break up the fight, before another person bursts out of Wendy’s – this time with a fire extinguisher.

As they pull the trigger though, one man intercepts the nozzle to point it away from the target, sending a plume of Carbon Dioxide spray into the air.

The fight continues as the ‘batsmen’ stumble down the road, while the narrator speculates about their weapon choice.

He says: “You don’t bottle people man, you break the legs off chairs and batter them.”

As he finishes speaking another hooded man appears from the left, picking up a discarded ‘chair leg’ and swinging it at someone facing the other way.

A woman reacts with disgust, shouting: “What the f*ck are you doing bruv, calm the f*ck down.”

At this point the fight appears to be over as a man is seen walking calmly away with a stick in his hand.
