Former Tottenham defender Graham Roberts believes the January and summer transfer windows could give Antonio Conte the chance to assemble a team that would “frighten everybody”.

Tottenham have failed to strike much fear into their opponents this season, with the north London club having already lost five games in the Premier League and two in the Europa Conference League (including qualifiers).
Four of those five league defeats came in London derbies against the likes of their neighbours Arsenal and fierce rivals Chelsea, who would have been laughing after their 3-1 and 3-0 victories.

Next season, though, Roberts thinks it could be a completely different story if Conte gets his way in the upcoming transfer windows and ends up with players such as Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic.
“You buy a right-back or a left-back and then you buy a decent midfield player and a striker,” the Spurs legend said to TIF.
“You get Vlahovic up there, you get a decent midfield player, a creative midfield player who can play balls forward, we have a team. We have a team that would frighten everybody.”
Vlahovic has been heavily linked with a move to Spurs, so perhaps that is one player they could end up signing in January or next summer.
