Hundreds of Facebook users have reported being locked out of their accounts across the UK, as the main outages are said to be coming from Edinburgh and London.
At the moment of writing, 663 reports of the popular social media application not working have been submitted, increasing by 200 in just a few minutes.
There have also been reports of sister application Instagram also being down, as people note that they cannot send direct messages on the photo-based application or receive photo replies.
Messenger has not reported to have been affected by this outage, but if this changes, updates will be made available as soon as they are received to us at Edinburgh Live.
The popular website Down Detector has produced a heat map that shows the majority of these reports coming from the capital, and other major UK city London.
47 per cent of these reports are for the Facebook website, 28 per cent are for the app alone, and the remaining 24 per cent is for those trying to post on the site.
