South Harrow station live: London Underground station closed after passenger collapses on train

A North West London Tube station was shut this lunchtime (Tuesday, November 16) after a passenger collapsed on board a train.

South Harrow London Underground station is was closed from around 12pm to 1.30pm, during which time no trains were stopping there on the Piccadilly line and there were severe delays.

The passenger suffered a cardiac arrest shortly after 11.50am. Paramedics attended and he was rushed to hospital.

It is not clear the man’s age or what condition he is currently in.

Video posted online showed an ambulance and police car in the road outside the station in Northolt Road.

Piccadilly Line trains through Piccadilly line trains resumed operating on the full line at shortly before 1.20pm before South Harrow station reopened fully around 10 minutes later.

Severe delays continued between Acton Town and Uxbridge. Delays have now been downgraded to minor.
