Two roads in Leicester have been closed this morning due to an ‘ongoing police incident’.
The closures are in effect in London Road and University Road. Both border Victoria Park, which is hosting today’s Remembrance Sunday event.
Leicestershire Police announced the closure shortly after 6am today. It has not yet given any information about the reason for the road closures.
The force said London Road is closed between the junctions with Evington Road and Saxby Street and Granville Road, while University Road is shut at its junction with Regent Road.
We have approached the force for further detail.
