East London stabbing live: Updates after 24-year-old man stabbed and 5 arrested

A 24-year-old man has been rushed to hospital and five others have been arrested after a stabbing in East London overnight.

Police rushed to the scene of the stabbing in St Anne’s Row in Limehouse, Tower Hamlets, in the early hours of Saturday morning (November 6).

A fight which had broken out in the area was reported to police at 12.54am, who rushed to the scene alongside London Ambulance Service (LAS), who also sent out the air ambulance.

Paramedics and Doctors at the scene provided medical aid before the victim was taken to a local hospital, where he remains.

His condition is unknown at this time.

Police confirmed males have been arrested near the scene on suspicion of attempted murder and taken to a local police station.

A number of crime scenes remain in place in the area.

At this early stage enquiries into the circumstances remain ongoing.
