You can ride Newcastle e-scooters in five new areas from today after major expansion
Newcastle’s e-scooters can be ridden in more parts of the city from today.
It has been revealed that riders can now take the orange Neuron scooters into Ouseburn, Heaton, Byker, Arthur’s Hill and Elswick.

The vehicles were first launched in February and have racked up 400,000 miles worth of trips around the city centre, Sandyford, Shieldfield, Jesmond, and Gosforth.
While proving popular with many residents, particularly students and young people, the electric scooters have been a source of controversy – sparking complaints over them being ridden dangerously and left blocking footpaths.
