London Covid hospital patient figures as admissions rise

Across England there were 6,883 people in hospital with Covid as of October 26, with 803 of them in mechanical ventilation beds.

The number of Covid-19 patients hospitalised nationally has increased by 34% in the last four weeks, while the number on mechanical ventilators has increased by 18%.

Kings College Hospital Trust

King’s College Hospital Trust was caring for 68 coronavirus patients in hospital as of Tuesday, figures show.

NHS England data shows the number of people being treated in hospital for Covid-19 by 8am on October 26 was down from 75 on the same day the previous week.

The number of beds at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust occupied by people who tested positive for Covid-19 decreased by 6% in the last four weeks – 28 days ago, there were 72.

The figures also show that 59 new Covid patients were admitted to hospital in King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in the week to October 24.

This was down from 62 in the previous seven days.

Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust

Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust was caring for 50 coronavirus patients in hospital as of Tuesday, figures show.

NHS England data shows the number of people being treated in hospital for Covid-19 by 8am on October 26 was up from 38 on the same day the previous week.

The number of beds at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust occupied by people who tested positive for Covid-19 decreased by 21% in the last four weeks – 28 days ago, there were 63.

The figures also show that 44 new Covid patients were admitted to hospital in Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust in the week to October 24.

This was up from 32 in the previous seven days.

South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust

South London and Maudsley Trust was caring for 10 coronavirus patients in hospital as of Tuesday, figures show.

NHS England data shows the number of people being treated in hospital for Covid-19 by 8am on October 26 was up from seven on the same day the previous week.

There were five beds occupied by Covid-19 patients four weeks ago in South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.

The figures also show that seven new Covid patients were admitted to hospital in South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust in the week to October 24.

This was up from three in the previous seven days.

Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust

Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust was caring for 28 coronavirus patients in hospital as of Tuesday, figures show.

NHS England data shows the number of people being treated in hospital for Covid-19 by 8am on October 26 was up from 23 on the same day the previous week.

The number of beds at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust occupied by people who tested positive for Covid-19 increased by 40% in the last four weeks – 28 days ago, there were 20.

The figures also show that 22 new Covid patients were admitted to hospital in Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust in the week to October 24.

This was up from 16 in the previous seven days.
