Woman in her 50s is stabbed in the head in north west London as police launch hunt for knifeman aged 25-30

A woman who is believed to be in her 50s was horrifically attacked in north-west London and suffered stab wounds to the head.
Officers were called to the junction of Church Road and Godfrey Avenue, Northolt following a report of a woman who had suffered stab wounds to the head at around 09:45pm on Tuesday night.
The woman, who is believed to be in her 50s, was taken to a local hospital in the area and discharged following treatment.

Police have launched a hunt for the knifeman and asked anyone with any information to come forward.
Officers have released details of the suspect who has been described as a light skinned black man, aged between 25 to 30, and has a slim build.
He is thought to be between 5ft 6 to 5ft 8 inches tall, and was wearing a woolly hat, dark tracksuit, blue t-shirt and trainers.
No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
