Satanist who sacrificed two women in London park ‘to win lottery’ jailed for life

A warped man inspired by Satanists on YouTube has been jailed for life with a minimum of 35 years after he sacrificed two women to manifest a lottery win.

Danyal Hussein, 19, believed he had made a bargain with the devil when he stabbed Bibaa Henry, 46, and Nicole Smallman, 27, to death in Fryent Country Park in Wembley in June last year.

He claimed to have been inspired to commit the “sacrificial” killing by satanist E.A. Koetting.

The court had previously heard how during his “campaign of vengeance” Hussein pledged to kill six women every six months to win the Mega Millions Super Jackpot of £321 million and carry on killing women as long as he was able.

The trial had heard how Hussein prepared for the killings by buying a set of knives from Asda, a black balaclava on Amazon and signing up to a lottery betting website.

In the early hours of June 6 last year, he stalked his victims as they celebrated Ms Henry’s birthday in Fryent Country Park in Wembley, north London, laughing and dancing with fairy lights.

Hussein took Ms Henry by surprise, stabbing her eight times, before he slashed Ms Smallman 28 times as she bravely fought back, sustaining multiple defensive injuries.

Hussein dragged them by the feet into bushes where they lay undiscovered for 36 hours, their limbs entwined.

In another sinister note, he offered blood to ‘demon Queen Byleth’ to make a girl at his school fall in love with him.

Hussein’s killing spree was halted because he cut himself during the frenzied attack on the sisters, enabling police to track him through DNA.

He was found guilty of two counts of murder and possession of a knife with intent after a jury deliberated for around eight hours in July and returned to court for sentencing today (Oct 28).

Following his conviction in July, the sisters’ mother, the Venerable Mina Smallman, said she had “never come across such evil”, My London reports.

Prosecutor Oliver Glasgow QC told the court that but for his age, Hussein would qualify for a whole-life order – the sentence given to Wayne Couzens for murdering Sarah Everard.

He suggested the appropriate starting point for a minimum term was 30 years in jail.

“Significant” aggravating features included taking a knife to the scene, destruction of evidence, and disposal of Hussein’s weapon and clothes, Mr Glasgow said.

He added that Hussein’s decision to move their bodies put a delay on when they were found, further stripping victims of any dignity in death.

The killer sat with his arms folded, sitting upright with his chair to face the window, away from the screen as Mrs Justice Whipple returns to the court to sentence him.

Sentencing the teen, Whipple said: “You found these two women, you were a stranger to them, you surprised them and you killed them.

“It was Adam Stone, Nicole’s boyfriend who found their bodies. What a horrifying sight. He said those images remain forged in his mind. He said ‘I will never be able to unsee what I saw’.

“The lives of these family members have been shattered. Their mother has said she is haunted by the suffering that will disturb her for the rest of her life.”

Describing the “brutal” murders, the judge said the wounds on Nicole’s arms showed she “tried to fight Hussein off” but she couldn’t “save herself of her sister”.

Hussien was sentenced to life with a minimum term of 35 years.
