Danyal Hussein: Inside teen Satanist’s plot to murder so he could win the lottery

A teenage Satanist who was jailed for life for the murder of two sisters in a park plotted to kill women so he could win the lottery.

Danyal Hussein, 19, believed he had struck a deal with the devil that would see him win the lottery in return for killing women when he murdered sisters Bibaa Henry, 46, and Nicole Smallman, 21, in the early hours of June 6, 2020.

Jailed for life today (October 28), for the murders, Hussein believed his “sacrifice” would see him scoop up the Mega Millions Super Jackpot lottery prize of £321 million.

Following his arrest in July last year, police officers discovered an array of satanic drawings and agreements which indicated that Hussein had an interest in satanic cults and demons.

Most disturbingly of all, officers uncovered a pact between Hussein and a demonic entity called ‘King Lucifuge Rofocale’, handwritten and signed in Hussein’s own blood, that provided the motive for his murder of Bibaa and Nicole.

In the pact, Hussein wrote that he agreed to “perform a minimum of six sacrifices every six months for as long as I am free and physically capable”.

He specified that he would only target women and build a “temple” dedicated to the demonic entity.

In return, he asked to win the Mega Millions Super Jackpot and “receive fruitful rewards” in return for future murders which “could consist of wealth and power”.

He also asked that he “never be suspected of any crimes by the police” and that the police would never know of any of the crimes he committed.

Police officials stated this motive “had never been seen in any murder case before”.

Hussein’s delusions were revealed during his trial at the Old Bailey in July, as well as the degree to which he went to plan the murders.

Three days before the murders, on June 3, it was revealed that Hussein had travelled to an ASDA in Colindale, North London, where he was caught on CCTV buying a block of knives.

He could be seen on CCTV struggling to fit the knife block into his rucksack and had to temporarily remove his mask to shop staff to provide proof of age.

Hussein also purchased a full-face balaclava and shovels on Amazon.

On June 4, he set up an online betting account with Lottogo.com, which runs bets on the Mega Millions Super Jackpot that Hussein mentioned in his satanic pact.

On the evening of the murder, police believe that Hussein lay in wait in Fryent Country Park, Wembley, for several hours before launching his attack.

Bibaa and Nicole had met with friends at the park on the afternoon of June 5 to celebrate Bibaa’s birthday and had enjoyed a picnic.

After the last of their friends left the park around midnight, the sisters had decided to stay and continued dancing with fairy lights.

They took more than one hundred selfies with a clicker, the very last of which shows their attention being drawn away from the camera and captures what police believe was the moment Hussein launched his attack.

He stabbed the sisters more than thirty times before Hussein dragged their bodies more than 75 metres before hiding their bodies in undergrowth in the park.

He then threw their mobile phones into a nearby pond, before walking home to his dad’s address nearby, returning home around 4am.

He was captured on CCTV with a jacket wrapped around his waist to conceal the fact he was not wearing trousers, which he had removed on account of them becoming blood-stained.

The investigation by detectives revealed that at 1am on July 7, Hussein tried to place bets on the Mega Millions Super Jackpot, none of which were successful and the betting slips for which were found alongside his satanic pact.

Bibaa and Nicole’s bodies were discovered the following day around 12.30pm when Nicole’s boyfriend Adam Stone and his parents went to the park to search for the sisters.

Meanwhile, Hussein attended Northwick Park Hospital with his father for treatment to cuts to his right hand sustained during the murders and was subsequently referred to the Royal Free Hospital.

There, he explained that he had sustained the injuries while being robbed and did not want to report the incident to the police.

He was identified using CCTV and DNA evidence and was today sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum of 35 years.

Police uncovered that Hussein had been radicalised through the dark web and had been exposed to the teachings of the ‘Incel’ community, a far-right community known for its extreme, violent, and misogynistic beliefs.

In a Met Police statement following Hussein’s conviction on July 6 this year, DCI Simon Harding said the investigation will stay with detectives for “many years to come”.

He added: “This is one of the most shocking and chilling cases I have ever dealt with, and I know the investigation will stay with all of those involved for many years to come.

“Hussein went out that night with the intention of killing in order to satisfy his bizarre fantasies under the deluded belief he would be rewarded with financial prosperity.

“His wicked acts have cut short the lives of two completely innocent women – who, even more devastatingly, were exceptionally close sisters simply out celebrating a birthday – and left family, friends and colleagues bereft, still struggling to come to terms with such a random and senseless attack.

“Bibaa and Nicole were very popular, had lots of friends and lived life to the full.

“Their bond and shared pleasure in being in each other’s company was clear to see from the heart-breaking images and footage which captured them together that night.

“It is still beyond my comprehension what impact their murders will have had on their family and friends and my thoughts are first and foremost today with them.

Speaking outside court today, the sisters’ mother Mina Smallman called Hussein “an obnoxious human being” and said: “He is a broken human being who, if he had not been caught, four other families may have been suffering what we have.

“Well he ain’t out there now and I think he is so deluded, come 35 years’ time they will not let him out.

“I will not let them.”

“There will be no celebrations here but justice has been done.”
