‘Brazen’ thieves use circular saw to raid Hackney jewellery shop

New footage shows the moment four ‘brazen’ thieves use a circular saw to cut through the shutters of a Hackney silver shop.

The “smash and grab” raid took place in the early hours of this morning (October 28) in Stamford Hill.

A “number of solid silver objects” were stolen according to the police.

A spokesperson for Shomrim, a North London Jewish-led neighbourhood watch group, posted a video of the burglary and said: “Four brazen thieves wearing balaclavas raided a silver shop before making off in an Audi RS6”

“Shomrim are appealing for witnesses.”

A police spokesperson told MyLondon: “Police were called at 3.24am on Thursday, October 28, to reports of a burglary at a commercial premises on Stamford Hill, Hackney.

“A number of solid silver objects were taken.

“There have been no arrests; enquiries continue.
