Woman left injured after being hit by bus on Oxford Street

A pedestrian has been left with injuries to her face after being hit by a bus on Oxford Street.

Emergency services rushed to the scene on the busy Central London road after reports of a crash shortly after 4.30pm today (October 26).

Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

According to a witness, an air ambulance landed near the scene. MyLondon has contacted London Ambulance Service to confirm this.

It happened on a busy afternoon and the road was packed with shoppers.

Multiple other emergency vehicles were also in attendance.

Emergency service personnel were seen talking to pedestrians in the aftermath of the incident.

A spokesperson for the Met Police said: “Police were called at approximately 4.40pm on Tuesday, October 26, to reports of a bus in collision with a pedestrian on Oxford Street, W1.

“Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended.

“The female pedestrian was treated for facial injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.”
