West London Paranormal, AKA Rich and Mark are the real deal.
These two demon-hunting dads from West London work together but also spend every bit of spare time they can using the latest hi-tech equipment to reach the spirit world.
But be warned. There’s a lot of good and bad stuff out there just waiting to break through the paranormal forcefield.

These pioneers even claim to have captured Bael – a real-life demon king – on camera while exploring an ancient well in Essex.
MyLondon spoke to them ahead of this year’s Halloween event when we’ll be heading out with them to contact the spirits of the undead which are said to stalk the world on October 31.
Rich, a 49-year-old dad-of-five, knows his stuff too, having been doing research on the paranormal for 20 years.
“There are so many entities out there,” he says.
“Recently we were over at the Englefield Green Social Hall (in Egham) and I was calling out to this guy Thomas who was supposed to have died there.
“We heard nothing at all, but then when we looked back at the footage we heard a clear Class A response – a voice said: ‘I’m here, come and find me’.”
Dad-of-two Mark, 35, adds: “I saw something that changed it for me. I was staying at my parents’ house and I always used to go and visit my Nan’s grave on Christmas morning.
“But this particular year I decided not to go because I was staying quite a few miles away.
“That night about 2am I woke up and saw a greyish figure stood at the end of my bed.
“I closed my eyes and buried myself under the quilt. Then I looked again and I could see it – I could see through it and the books on the bookshelf behind it.
“To this day I still say that was my Nan.”
One of the most eerie places the boys have explored is Donkey Wood on Hounslow Heath.
The place is steeped in history and was the site of powder mills where gunpowder was made and where there was once a deadly explosion that killed the workers.
In the 1980s a girl was murdered there – the case was never solved.
“The adrenaline’s going, you are in the middle of those woods in the middle of nowhere,” says Rich.
“As we went in there there was a figure stood beside us watching us.
“Then the SLS (Structured Light Sensor Camera) picked up this thing, this matchstick type figure. It was lying there hunched over trying to get up.
“Then the battery just suddenly drained in the SLS.
“We later found out that three people had died there, killed by a gunpowder explosion.”
On another ghost hunt, three quarters of a mile underground, in the High Wycombe Hellfire caves, the boys picked up spirit voices using a phone App.
Sensing a spirit, Rich was getting frustrated because it wasn’t responding so asked: ‘what is it, what do you want?’
Suddenly the app chimed into life and a voice croaked: “Heart”.
Then quietly: “Bring it back.”
On another occasion, the lads found something so dark that even they were chilled to the bone.
Cash’s Well is situated in the eerie surroundings of Langdon Hills Country Park in the depths of Essex and is a notoriously renowned haunted hotspot.
There’s a spooky well surrounded by old 18th century columns and nearby a house that was once an asylum where many children died from Tuberculosis.
So of course Rich and Mark had to visit.
Rich says: “Once we had agreed on a date and time it was in to the ‘batmobile’ and off we set, stopping on the way to pick up two guests that were joining us on this investigation: ‘Mediums’ Jacquie and Nick from the South East Paranormal Team SEPT.
An actor called Adam also joined them who had previously had a scary dream about being visited by the spirit of a girl.
“We had to walk about a mile through woodland, overgrown trees, and bushes either side of the precarious path, this was not for the fainthearted as the decent was quite steep and slippery,” says Rich.
“On our way down a couple of us felt that we were being watched, but that is often the feeling one gets when in the woods…
“Approaching the well itself you could not help but stop in your tracks and look towards the pillars that were standing derelict and weathered right in front of us.
“Although the actual well was still there it wasn’t full of water and, sadly, it has been vandalised over the years. There were odd pieces of graffiti on the walls and it made for a very eerie place.
“We put our equipment down and walked around the small site for 15 minutes or so, when Mark said: ‘Jacquie look what’s happened to your leg!’ We all turned to her as we were in close proximity and we were all stunned at what we saw…three SCRATCHES!
“They were fresh as the blood was still wet and bright red, there was nothing around that could have made that happen, no bushes, no brambles nothing, it was a wide open space.”
The group were left stunned. And, darkness was falling and the woods were becoming more silent.
“So it was off to the Ouija board and after the opening prayer we all sat around the board in our cold and dark location with just a head torch to illuminate the board,” Rich continued.
“We were stunned at what followed. We had a female spirit visit who confirmed that she was the girl in Adam’s dream, this little girl was scared, she was being held back by something or someone and Jacquie could feel she was being controlled and not freely speaking.
“Eventually, we got the name ‘Emily’ and she had already attached herself to Adam.
“Almost immediately Adam started to walk off on his own, his mood had changed significantly for us to notice he wasn’t happy, and when we spoke to Adam, he was totally out of character.
“We tried to calm him down, he was saying that Emily the girl was in trouble, she was scared, hated what is happening to her and that we had to help her.
“After we had calmed Adam down, we decided to move location about 60 yards away was an old bridge that connects the old asylum at the top of the hill to the lower part of the well.
“It wasn’t long before we felt the bridge move. Now this bridge is solid wood, so it’s easy to say it can sway a little, but this wasn’t that feeling at all, this was like small footsteps running across the bridge footsteps of small children perhaps?
“It was about 11pm now and pitch black and almost silent in the woods it was definitely now something set in a horror film.
“The energy was intense and everybody thought that it felt a bit dark not the usual happy bubbly energy, it felt sinister.
“We returned to the Ouija Board for a final session. The board was doing all sorts of trickery, spelling out ‘die’, ‘demon’, ‘kill’.
“The board was going crazy and Adam who was next to me said he felt his neck was burning.”
Rich explained: “Suddenly Adam had three huge scratches running downwards through his tattoo! Now what! We knew there was something here a dark energy, we’d been feeling it for hours.
“We had no idea at the time what we were dealing with BUT WE DO NOW.”
Because when the team got home and looked back in detail at the footage on camera it was right there in front of them
“It was like a face, teeth, horns and these spidery legs…. it was like ‘Jesus Christ it’s right there!'” says Rich.
The team believe what they contacted was in fact an ancient demon called Bael.
The video footage shows a plasma-like substance formed into a shape that looks remarkably similar to drawings made of the demon.
But this is no ordinary demon.
The anthologies of such spirits describe him as a “hoarsely-voiced king with the power to make men invisible and ruling over 66 legions of demons”.
In some books Bael is meant to be the first king of Hell, ruling over it until being dethroned by the devil himself.
But despite making such claims, Rich and Mark say they are not in the business of conning people and only highlight what can’t be explained by known fact.
“We like to be a bit different, and we try hard to debunk everything so that unless it’s 100 per cent we don’t go with it,” says Rich.
“We don’t like to take people for granted or give them false hope. If we see anything fake or anyone being fake then we’ll call it out.
“If you’re doing Ouija boards for example they can be easily manipulated. It’s very important to have a circle of trust. I’ll often step back and watch others doing it and see if they are doing things wrong. If you can get through all that and something happens, then, amazing…
“We like to keep it real.
“Nothing you ever see is like the traditional kind of ghost you imagine. What people want to see and what’s in the textbooks is not what is out there.

“The thing is the energy is so intense that they can’t draw enough to make a ghost figure.
“But sometimes after we’ve been out we feel completely and inexplicably drained or out of breath. It’s like they’ve completely drained your energy.”
Luckily the boys’ wives are pretty supportive of their work which can keep them out all night.
“My wife is quite spiritual and quite open to it,” says Rich. My daughter loves it and can’t wait to come out on an investigation when she’s old enough.”
Marks adds: “My kids always ask me if I’m going ghost hunting. ‘Don’t bring anything home with you’, they say.
“They know it’s our love and passion.”
But all the hard work is paying off now as the boys are getting noticed in the thriving paranormal community, especially in the US.
They’ve been on radio shows, have had cover features in the “Most Haunted” magazine and starting to make films for the Paraflixx paranormal streaming company.
