Tottenham predicted team vs West Ham as Nuno Espirito Santo reverts to Premier League XI

Nuno Espirito Santo doesn’t have to think much about his starting XI as Tottenham travel across the capital to the London Stadium to face West Ham on Sunday.

On Thursday, Spurs travelled to Holland to play Vitesse in the Europa Conference League and the Portuguese head coach decided to leave his strongest 11 in north London.

The first step of the risk didn’t pay off as his side lost 1-0 and produced a poor performance and showed that they were a team who don’t play together often.

Lilywhites fans will be hoping the 11 who remained in the capital will have been able to rest and prepare all week for the derby on Sunday, after the 3-2 victory at St James’ Park last weekend.

The side football.london expect Espirito Santo to pick is the same same team that have played in the most recent two Premier League fixtures, which have both ended in wins.

Before victories against Aston Villa and Newcastle, Spurs went on a run of three consecutive derby defeats against Crystal Palace, Chelsea and Arsenal.

This makes this fixture even more important, to put a stop to the dismal derby run and get maximum points from David Moyes’ side, in the battle for top four.

Last season, Tottenham lost 2-1 at the London Stadium and threw away a 3-0 lead to draw 3-3 when the Irons came to north London.

The Portuguese head coach will hope his side provide an energetic performance and show passion to win the clash, which they have lacked in a number of matches so far.

Espirito Santo revealed that the 11 who remained in England for Thursday’s match were all fit and the only players that seem to still be out with injury are Matt Doherty and Ryan Sessegnon.

“The players who stayed today back in London worked today [Thursday] and everybody is ok,” he said.

The 2020/21 campaign provided nine goals combined across the two games against the rivals so both fans will be hoping for a tough battle and a game full of goals.

Here is the team we reckon Espirito Santo will choose: (4-2-3-1) Lloris; Emerson, Romero, Dier, Reguilon; Hojbjerg, Skipp; Lucas, Ndombele, Son; Kane.
