All traffic was stopped on the A12 this morning after an accident.
The incident happened on the northbound carriageway at around 10.30am and all traffic was temporarily held just before 11am today (Thursday, October 21).
It affected traffic between Junction 22 (Witham North) and Junction 23 B1024 London Road (Kelvedon South).

All lanes of the A12 northbound carriageway were stationary on the route towards Colchester, however the road re-opened at 11:15am and traffic is easing.
It’s not yet known how many vehicles were involved in the accident.
The East of England Ambulance Service, Essex Police, and Essex County Fire and Rescue Service have been approached for a comment.
