Kew Bridge closed after motorbike crashes into 3 pedestrians

Kew Bridge has been closed off by police after a motorbike crashed into three pedestrians.

The Metropolitan Police was called to the North East crossing linking the boroughs of Richmond upon Thames and Hounslow at around 6.30pm this evening (October 17) after reports of a traffic collision.

Officers attended along with colleagues from London Ambulance Service (LAS).

A motorbike had mounted the pavement and been involved in a collision with three pedestrians.

A spokesperson from the Met said: “None of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

“The bridge has been closed to traffic. Enquiries are ongoing.”

AA Traffic said: “The bridge is closed and queueing traffic due to accident investigation work on A205 Kew Bridge both ways between Kew Green (Kew Bridge) and A315 Kew Bridge Road (Kew Bridge).

“Congestion to M4 (Chiswick Roundabout) southbound.”
