Military jets in Essex: When and where you can watch the NFL flyover today

Essex residents will be able to watch real military warplanes flyover today (Sunday, October 17).

Four F-15s have been practicing since Friday, in time for the real thing today, which will take place during the NFL game between Jacksonville Jaguars and Miami Dolphins.

The USAF says the demonstration will showcase the capabilities of its aircraft while also inspiring patriotism and future generations of aviation enthusiasts.

Senior commanders say the flypasts are also useful training for pilots, aircrew and ground control teams.

Part of the route goes over Essex, but where exactly will you be able to see them?

The aircraft begin their journey from RAF Lakenheath before heading south to the south-west of Colchester before seeing Chelmsford as the holding area.

The aircraft then fly towards north London and over the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the official flypast before heading back past Norfolk and towards the base.
