Next year Idris Elba will hit 50, and he seems pretty content with the way things are going. The British actor is happily married (he wed the Somalian-Canadian model Sabrina Dhowre at a sumptuous three-day celebration in Marrakesh in 2019). He is a father of two (from previous relationships) and an award-winning screen star, not to mention a respected DJ.
“When you get a bit older your attitude to family, relationships, your career — it deepens and becomes more sophisticated,” Elba says. “You’re a bit more discerning and considered in your attitude towards most things.”
