Emergency services dealt with an incident on the Southern and Thameslink railway lines between East Croydon and Selhurst.
A body was discovered near East Croydon and British Transport Police are investigating the circumstances on site.
Disruption, including delays and possible cancellations, were expected to last until 1pm on Monday (October 11).

Services between London Victoria and Brighton were suspended and a reduced service was in place on routes between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport.
Southern said: “Plan ahead and allow an extra 30 minutes to complete your journey as services are subject to disruption through East Croydon.
“Services may also terminate early on their journey before the advertised destination to reduce the amount of services running in the area.”
