BBC Strictly Come Dancing star ‘carbs up’ with West London pub Sunday roast after narrowly avoiding being voted off

A West London pub was in for a touch of Strictly Come Dancing sparkle over the weekend as it welcomed contest Judi Love who popped in for a spot of Sunday lunch.

The Strictly star swapped the dance floor for the some down time at the Royal Oak in Isleworth and a traditional pub lunch with a friend.

Judi popped in for a Sunday roast with a pal to carb up after gruelling rehearsals for the show.

Pub landlady Adrianne Mead chatted to the Strictly and Loose Women, who she described to MyLondon as ‘really nice and bubbly’ and ‘exactly the same personality as she portrays on screen’.

The star told her, ‘everyone was really lovely on the show, Saturday was really long day’ and she was coming out to ‘carb up and basically enjoy a meal’, Adrianne said.

But the former stand up comedian was keeping schtum about her and partner Graziano Di Prima’s standing in the show, not revealing whether they had been voted off before the results aired yesterday evening.

Judi was happy to chat and pose for photos, taking care to social distance ‘because that’s what they require in Strictly bubbles, hence the far away shot’ the pub shared on Facebook, according to landlady Adrianne.

The star, who tucked into a roast with all the trimmings, said she was really enjoying Strictly but admitted it was ‘really hard work’.

Judi and her partner survived to dance another day, after beating Katie McGlynn and Gorka Marquez in the dreaded dance off.

The pair performed their Charleston to When You’re Good to Mama from Chicago, while Katie and Gorka performed their American Smooth to Cruella De Vil from Cruella, in a bid to remain in the BBC dance competition.
