Road near M20 shut after person suffers life threatening injuries in Headcorn crash

A person is in a London hospital with life threatening injuries after a crash in Headcorn overnight.

Police and ambulance crews attended Lenham Road around 1am today (October 10).

The road looks set to be closed for much of the day as the Serious Collision Investigation Unit carry out enquiries.

Traffic website Inrix has said that just one vehicle was involved in the crash, but this has not been confirmed by police..

A statement from the force said: Kent Police was called at 12.54am on Sunday 10 October 2021 to a report of a collision on Lenham Road, Headcorn.

“Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and one person was taken to a London hospital with life threatening injuries.

The road is closed while the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are at the scene.
