Man, 64, charged after police find break-in suspect hiding in bushes

A 64-year-old London man is charged after a construction site break-in Thursday night, police say.

London police say three men were seen entering a gated construction site on Sugarcreek Trail in west London around 11:30 p.m. The trio wore dark clothing and carried backpacks, police said in a description.

Officers and the canine unit found one person hiding in a bush outside the construction site, police say.

A 64-year-old man is charged with break and enter with intent. He’s expected to appear in court on Jan. 11, 2022.

Several midrise residential buildings are under construction on Sugarcreek Trail, a small street between Oxford Street and Riverside Drive near the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
