West Ham manager David Moyes is expected to make a number of changes from the team which defeated Rapid Vienna in the Europa League on Thursday night.
Moyes made seven changes to the starting XI in mid-week and a similar number could be on the cards for the Hammers’ return to league action.
The team which takes to the field at the London Stadium is expected to be unchanged from the one which defeated Leeds United 2-1 at Elland Road last weekend.
Lukasz Fabianski is predicted to return in goal with Alphonse Areola set for a place on the substitutes once more.
Kurt Zouma and Angelo Ogbonna are set to replace mid-week pairing of Issa Diop and Craig Dawson, with Aaron Cresswell likely to keep his place in the team.
Vladimir Coufal is an injury doubt going into the match after a minor groin issue kept him out of the Europa League match but Moyes insisted it was a small problem and the defender should be fine for Brentford.
If he is sidelined Ben Johnson will retain his spot with Ryan Fredericks also a doubt after he picked up a knock at Old Trafford.
Mark Noble got the nod on Thursday night alongside Declan Rice but the club captain will be replaced by regular starter Tomas Soucek to line-up alongside Rice for this afternoon’s clash.
The Hammers attacking quartet has a settled look to it with Pablo Fornals, Jarrod Bowen and Said Benrahma providing support to lone striker Michail Antonio.

Nikola Vlasic and Andriy Yarmolenko started against Rapid but both men are expected to return to the bench and provide an attacking option along with Manuel Lanzini should the manager require it.
With Fredericks ruled out Arthur Masuaku will retain his spot in the matchday squad but will only be used as a substitute after a long injury lay off himself.
