A crime scene remains in place in a field near Biggin Hill after a person’s body was discovered yesterday afternoon (September 26), police have confirmed.
The Metropolitan Police have not confirmed the age or gender of the person who has died, however, they are currently treating the death as unexplained.
Members of the public discovered the body in a wooded area near Saltbox Hill and Jewels Hill shortly before 5pm.
As of yet, it has not been possible to identify the dead person or inform their family.
Police investigators will conduct a post-mortem examination ‘in due course’.
There have been no arrests and enquiries are ongoing.
