Pensioner in late 80s fighting for his life after being hit by a car in Edgware

A man in his late 80s is fighting for his life following a serious crash in Edgware.

Police and emergency services were called to the junction of Mount Grove and the Watford Bypass at 16:25 yesterday (September 25) to reports that a car had hit a pedestrian.

Paramedics rushed the man to hospital where he remains in critical condition.

His family have been informed.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene and assisted police with enquiries.

There have been no arrests.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating the incident are appealing for anyone with dash cam footage to come forward.
