Fulham Broadway station live: Updates as police storm home where man deemed possible threat to himself and others

Police were called out to an address in West London today after a man threatened to self-harm with a knife.

The man has now been arrested on suspicion of threatening criminal damage with the intent to endanger life.

Police were called at approximately 2:30pm today (September 26) to an address in Harwood Road, Fulham, near Fulham Broadway station. Officers tried to engage with the man once they arrived.

However, at around 6:30pm, the man was detained after officers forced entry to the property. Police discharged a taser during this.

The man was taken to hospital as a precaution and has been arrested on suspicion of threatening criminal damage with intent to endanger life and affray.

People in neighbouring properties were evacuated while police dealt with the incident.

There were also road closures in place in the surrounding areas.

The restrictions will be lifted now the incident has concluded.
