Users have reported that internet provider Plusnet is not working.

Web service Down Detector has logged hundreds of complaints from people saying they are unable to connect.

It is believed to be mostly affecting customers in London and Glasgow.

One tweeted: “Plusnet, you might want to wake up your infra team. Looks like a LOT of your customers are lacking internet (blue light, no internet).”

There was a surge in people reporting issues at around midnight, with hundreds more telling Down Detector they were having problems between 5am and 7.30am.

A Plusnet spokeswoman told The Mirror said the company was aware of issues and was working to fix them.

She said: “We are very sorry that some customers are experiencing problems with broadband services this morning. We are working quickly to fix the issue.”

A large number of people have reported problems connecting to Plusnet

At 8am the company tweeted to wish everyone a “happy hump day”, but did not address service issues.

It sparked a quick response from disgruntled users, with one writing: “Read the room, none of us have connection.”

One fuming customer wrote: “Clearly you guys have no idea that your broadband is down? I WFH and have no Internet, can we have some sort of update that indicates you are aware and dealing with this? This is not what I call good customer service!”
