When you think of EastEnders’ Branning family, the likes of Max and Jack Branning may instantly spring to mind.
However, the clan’s history in Walford actually spans decades as Carol Jackson arrived in 1993 and is the sister of the famous Branning brothers.
Avid fans of the BBC One soap are almost certain to remember Lauren, Abi, Bradley, and Derek Branning and their cousins Joey and Alice.

Joey Branning, played by actor David Witts, arrived in Albert Square in June 2012 as the son of gangster Derek and instantly became known as one of the soap’s hunkiest characters.
Wasting no time Joey enjoyed relationships with Lucy Beale, Whitney Dean, Janine Butcher, and his own first cousin Lauren.
During his short time on the soap, actor David Witts won Sexiest Male at the Inside Soap Awards but decided to leave because he didn’t want to become an ‘EastEnders stalwart’.

Witts went back to the theatre, starring in productions of Hairspray, Aladdin, and on the West End as Fiyero in Wicked.
He’s also starred in other TV shows including Recovery Road, Doctors and I Ship It.
However, the 30-year-old has landed back on television screens on Monday (September 20) taking on a main role in the new series of ITV’s Manhunt: The Night Stalker.

The four-part ITV crime series follows the real-life investigation into the serial burglar and serial rapist Delroy Grant who terrorised South East London for 17 years.
Grant carried out a string of burglaries and sexual assaults across South East London including Croydon, Bromley, Catford, Forest Hill, Dulwich, Sidcup, Orpington and Beckenham.
His first victim, an 89-year old lady from Shirley, was so brutally raped that she nearly died after the attack.
TV star Martin Clunes reprises his role as DCI Colin Sutton who worked tirelessly to try and capture Grant, who was living in Brockley at the time of his arrest.
Witts stars alongside Clunes as DC Adam Spier who is part of the police team investigating the harrowing case.
During the first episode, DC Spier works closely with DCI Sutton on trying to figure out any clues that could lead to them to the serial rapist.
Episode two of the real-life series continues tonight, Wednesday and Thursday at 9pm on ITV.
