Woman dies after fall from ‘substantial height’ in Romford

A woman has sadly died after falling from a “substantial height”.

Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service were called to reports with concern for the safety of a woman at around 9.46am in Brewery Walk, Romford, this morning (Monday, September 20).

Officers found a woman in her 60s had fallen from a considerable height.

Despite the best efforts of paramedics and police, the woman was tragically pronounced dead at the scene at 10.17am.

Officers confirmed that her death is unexplained but not currently thought to be suspicious.

A spokesperson for Met Police said: “Police were called to Brewery Walk, Romford at 09:46hrs on Monday, 20 September to reports of a concern for safety.

“Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service and the London Air Ambulance.

“They found a woman, aged in her 60s, had fallen from a substantial height. She was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:17hrs.

“At this early stage the death is being treated as unexplained and is not thought to be suspicious.”

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed that a medic and two incident response officers attended the incident.
