Police have launched an urgent appeal for witnesses after a pensioner was raped in a park.

The 69-year-old woman was attacked at about 6.30pm on July 31.

The rape happened at Neasden Recreation Ground in Brent, north-west London, and was reported to the Metropolitan Police on August 2.

On August 7, officers arrested a man in connection with the incident.

He was charged with rape and possession of an offensive weapon.
