A 19-year-old man has been stabbed on a busy high street in Croydon.
Police were called to the scene at 2.25pm today (September 17) where they found the 19-year-old who has not yet been identified.
The young man has been taken to hospital, though the assessment of his condition is not yet known.
In an image circulating on social media, officers can be seen assisting the victim on Norbury High Street with blood splattered on the floor.
Police are still believed to be at the scene this afternoon (Friday, September 17).
An eyewitness said on Twitter: “Just came round the corner and people where shouting and screaming”.
He went onto describe that he saw what appeared to be a young male on the floor next to NatWest on Norbury High Street.
Another eyewitness claimed: “15 to 20 police cars have just sped past in a row going towards Streatham from Norbury.
“Something mad has happened.”
Another witness saw an air ambulance landing at the field of a nearby Nuffield Health Centre.
