The A13 Alfreds Way eastbound has been closed due to a road traffic collision at Kingsbridge Road in Barking.
The road traffic collision at the junction with Movers Lane means that police have had to stop traffic on the eastbound carriageway whilst they deal with this ongoing incident.
Emergency services are in attendance and police have advised motorists to avoid the area and find alternative routes.
Traffic monitoring website Inrix first announced the closure at 2.20am on Saturday (September 18).
