A Larkhall couple celebrated their wedding after winning a staycation honeymoon this summer.
Jamie Allan and his wife Natalie, were lucky enough to have their honeymoon provided by truck, bus and coach manufacturer, Scania, for whom Jamie works.
Jamie, a customer services administrator at the firm’s Bellshill branch, was awarded the four-night break at a luxury boutique Mandrake Hotel in central London, after he won a special competition organised by Scania to promote the increase of its staff’s annual leave allowance by three days a year.

“We were originally planning to honeymoon abroad, but Covid put paid to our plans,” said Jamie.
“So we were delighted when I heard I had won the competition, as it meant we would still be able to celebrate in style. We had a fantastic time in London, the hotel was brilliant and we did all the tourist things, including Buckingham Palace and the London Eye.
“We also took a trip out to Watford to the Warner Bros Studio Tour to see the making of the Harry Potter exhibition, which was really fascinating.
