The newlywed couples have recently moved into apartments in Brighton and it is here that viewers reckon they have spotted a problem with the editing.

When filming the most recent episode couples were filmed waking up together.

Viewers noticed that the women were waking up with a full set of makeup on.

Producers were blamed for their lack of attention and it caused doubts among social media users about how ‘real’ the whole programme really is.

Fans stormed to Twitter to vent their anger. They collectively doubted the show’s authenticity.

One user said: “That’s the show ruined for me. How can they expect us to think that everything that happens isn’t orchestrated and fake?”

Another said: “Aren’t they supposed to be just waking up, how come they have their make up perfectly done?”

It raised questions about how much of the show is staged and if the married couple’s relationships are ‘organic’ and if their feelings are ‘pure’.

Relationship experts host the show and often set the couples challenges to test their relationships.

In Tuesday’s episode couples challenged each other to ‘yes week’, where their partners had to follow the same routine as them.

One of the couples, Tayah and Adam, woke up at 6am. Tayah had her makeup on in the shower, which again made viewers question if the show was fake.

Married at First Sight UK continues tonight, Wednesday 15th September, 9pm.

It is shown Monday to Thursday at the same time and is available to catch up with on All 4.
